VS Roofing Mod: Crafting Guide
Roofs are crafted in world by first constructing the frame and then adding roofing material(s) to it.

Frames 
Frame Types

Stick / Bamboo / Branch
These early game frames are constructed from sticks, bamboo-stakes and firewood(branch)<itemstack type="item">stick|bamboostakes|firewood</itemstack> while holding twine/rope resources (Flax fibers, Cattails, Papyrus and Wildvines) <itemstack type="item">flaxfibers|cattailtops|papyrustops</itemstack>/<itemstack type="block">wildvine-section-north</itemstack> in your off hand.

Timber
This late(er) game frame is constructed from boards <itemstack type="item">plank-birch|plank-oak|plank-maple|plank-pine|plank-acacia|plank-kapok|plank-baldcypress|plank-larch|plank-redwood|plank-ebony|plank-walnut|plank-purpleheart|plank-aged</itemstack> while holding a hammer <itemstack type="item">hammer-copper|hammer-tinbronze|hammer-bismuthbronze|hammer-blackbronze|hammer-gold|hammer-silver|hammer-iron|hammer-meteoriciron|hammer-steel</itemstack> in your off hand.

Metal
This late game frame is constructed from metal rods <itemstack type="item">rod-copper|rod-tinbronze|rod-bismuthbronze|rod-blackbronze|rod-gold|rod-silver|rod-iron|rod-meteoriciron|rod-steel|rod-cupronickel|rod-electrum</itemstack> while holding a hammer <itemstack type="item">hammer-copper|hammer-tinbronze|hammer-bismuthbronze|hammer-blackbronze|hammer-gold|hammer-silver|hammer-iron|hammer-meteoriciron|hammer-steel</itemstack> in your off hand.

Construct each frame with <hk>rightmouse</hk> button.
Frames can be placed horizontally and vertically to create low and high slopes. Corners (outer and inner) are created by combinations of perpendicular roofs placed in front or behind each other.
You can also select the frame type (Standard, Eave, Ridge) using <hk>toolmodeselect</hk> (ToolModes). This menu will also give you access to Left/Right variants as well as the ability to manually override the slope and placement.

Materials
To add roofing materials, hold the required item/block and press the <hk>rightmouse</hk> button while holding <hk>shift</hk> on the frame.
Some materials may require a tool in the off hand to be added.
Some roofing recipes may also require additional resources in your inventory. See <a href="handbook://vsroofing:craftinginfo-recipes">Recipe Guide</a> for more info.

Base block
To add the base(fill) block hold the desired block and press the <hk>rightmouse</hk> button while holding <hk>ctrl</hk>. These base blocks can be chiseled.
Tip: You can rotate the textures with the wrench. You can also add more materials using ctrl.

Locking
You can lock a block using the hammer + <hk>rightmouse</hk> to toggle the lock. This will prevent any reconfiguration.

Hide Beams
You can also hide beams using the saw + <hk>rightmouse</hk>. This will toggle the beam between Hidden and Auto (i.e. you cannot add beams.
Tip: Not all beams belong to all blocks, try the neighbouring block if its not working.
