<strong>Walking Sticks</strong>
<font color="#B3FFFFFF"><i>A trusty companions for your rusty knees.</i></font>

Walking sticks are handheld items that provide passive bonuses while equipped. Every stick improves your walking speed and reduces hunger drain, while some variants come with a unique ability tied to their purpose.

All walking sticks feature a custom walk animation and an auto-step feature that helps you traverse uneven terrain without jumping.

Variants range from the simple <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-crude">Crude walking stick</a>, easily crafted on the go, to more unique options like the <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-blackguard">Blackguard spearstaff</a> which can be thrown and provides much needed aid on long marches, or the cozy <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-witch">Witch's variant</a> that casts a warm comforting light which can also be used to light a fire. Speaking of fire, the terrifying <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-jonas">Jonas ash-spitter</a> flamethrower fueled by temporal gears is also at your disposal.

Some sticks support attachments. For example, the <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick">Base walking stick</a> can hold a lantern made of any metal, quartz glass with no lining, or alternatively a cow skull, while the <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-fine">Fine walking stick</a> can be used to craft a <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-pathfinder">Pathfinder's walking stick</a>, <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-gas">Gas lantern</a> variant, a <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-shepherds">Shepherd's axe</a>, or the <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-architect">Architect's walking stick</a>.

Those who wish to remain hidden, or perhaps have a little mischievous intent may be interested in a <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-sheathed">Cane with hidden blade</a> or a <a href="handbook://item-walkingstick:walkingstick-gun-sheathed">Cane with hidden gearlock</a>. Several sticks can also be attached to the side of your elk.
